MAT 2022 (December)
Since 1988, Business Schools (B-Schools) have used the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) December, a standardised exam, to assess applicants for admission to MBA and related programmes. In 2003, the Government of India's Ministry of HRD recognised the MAT as a national-level exam. Based on the Score Cards provided to the candidates, any B-School, whether domestic or foreign, may use the MAT Score as an admission input. Your entry ticket to more than 600 B-Schools throughout India will continue to be the largest test of its kind in the country, the MAT.

How will MAT 2022 IBT Mode be conducted?
In this manner, the applicants will take exams online.
Candidates will first need to check in with their credentials and confirm their identity. In this testing format, candidates will be remotely supervised by both human and artificial intelligence (AI) proctors.
It will be distinct from conventional modalities, in which candidates take tests in controlled environments while being supervised by proctors. To prevent cheating, the candidate in MAT IBT Mode would be under the online watchful eyes of the invigilators.
Additionally, MAT IBT will be proctored online. As was already said, candidates who are discovered to be acting outside of the pre-established behavioural norms will first receive a warning; nevertheless, if they continue, they risk being rejected.
Computer-Based Test MAT (December)
The MAT 2022 CBT mode, often known as the online form of assessment, stands for Computer Based Test. Candidates must take the exam on a computer in the designated testing location under the watchful eyes of examiners and CCTV cameras. The MAT CBT mode's key characteristics are:

- The Arithmetic section completely overshadowed the paper in the Mathematical ability section. The difficulty level ranged from mild to difficult. Data Interpretation, which included questions from Graphs, Pie Charts, Bar Diagrams, Charts, Line Graphs, and Data Comparison, took up about half of this portion of the MAT exam.
- The section on Intelligence and Critical Reasoning was lengthy, with a greater emphasis on Statements-Assumptions, Reasons, Analogies, and Direction, Sequence, and Incorrect words. o This segment included 40 issues, with the majority of them focusing on government policies, COVID-19 and its global ramifications, rules and regulations, the JIO-Facebook contract, awards, CAA, GST, the Indian Constitution, appointments, capitals, US trade policy, current nationals, and international events.

The MAT answer key contains all of the correct answers to the questions posed, allowing candidates to determine how many questions they answered correctly and vice versa.
MAT 2022 December Score vs Percentile Calculation
The MAT 2022 exam has five parts, but the applicant will be graded on only four of them. The fifth part, Indian and Global Environment, is not taken into account.
- The MAT 2022 exam consists of 40 questions worth one point each, but the final score is measured using 160 points rather than 200.
- For each segment, the candidates' scores are scaled to a total of 100. As a result, scaled scores ranging from 0-100 are awarded in the segment.
- The candidate's scaled score is then translated into a percentile score based on how well they performed in comparison to other candidates.
- The scaled scores of 0-199 are translated to the composite ranking, which is measured out of 800 points.
- By reading the explanation of the MAT Composite Score calculation above, it is clear how AIMA depicts raw MAT scores on a scale from 199 to 801. But the formula below is used to determine the MAT Percentile:
MAT percentile = (Composite Score obtained by a Candidate/Total number of candidates)X 100
- The MAT Percentile displays the proportion of test takers who scored lower than a specific candidate. While the remaining B-Schools that accept MAT scores base their final applicant selection on MAT percentile, some of those that accept MAT scores give admission based on composite scores. Many MBA colleges choose candidates in addition to the MAT score based on the Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), and Written Ability Test (WAT).
MAT Selection Process 2022 December
The MAT selection process starts soon after the MAT result is published, and all relevant information about the MAT selection process is made available to candidates on the All India Management Association's official website (AIMA). Eligible candidates must register separately for each college that accepts MAT scores on the official AIMA website in order to participate in the MAT selection procedure.
